ClaimFlights checks pre-court Flight Delay Compensation cases again due to new EuGH landmark case (EuGH Case C257/14)

There is a new landmark court case on European Air Passenger Rights. Until now, airlines could claim that a technical fault is an act of god (and subsequently avoid having to pay compensation to passengers).

In a new landmark decision from the European Court, it was decided that "... even in the event of a flight cancellation on account of unforeseen technical problems, air carriers are required to compensate passengers ... ". Read more here EuGH Case C257/14 .

Due to this landmark case, all airline passenger claims for compensation have to be reviewed; especially those that were not ultimately settled in court.
